John's Windows NT-Specific SNMP Information Page

How To

SNMPboy
A great Windows SNMP reference is at http://snmpboy.msft.net/ put together by Otto Helweg of Microsoft internet performance engineering. MRTG configuration examples, Windows 2000 MIBs, perfmib.dll, good useful stuff. (This site used to be http://snmpboy.rte.microsoft.com/ but that name no longer resolves.)
SNMP4tPC
At http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc, Garth Williams has put together a great support site for SNMP, Windows 95/98/NT/2000, WMI, Netware and MRTG. If you're looking for detailing instructions and all the software you need to get a proper SNMP agent working on a Windows box, check it out.

Bugs, Updates, etc.

Memory leak
I'm told that SNMP on NT had a memory leak in SP4, and it's documented in Q196270.txt (for which I don't currently have a reference), and the fix was updated December 17, 1998. ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/NT40/hotfixes-postSP4/Sms-fix/
(From a message in comp.protocols.snmp from Andreas.Schoenbach@mch.sbs.de)
